Arulmigu Viswanatha Swamy Temple commonly called as Sivan Kovil is worshipped with Kasi Viswanatha Swamy as its main god and Visalatchi Amman as its goddess - is one among the important and ancient temple in Sivakasi and it is administrated by The Hindu Religious & Charitable Endowments Department - Tamilnadu is situated in the central hub of sivakasi. All six period pooja, abhishekham, alangaram, aaradhanai, workship are practiced as per agama vithi.

Bowirnami Pooja will be conducted on every Full Moon Day, at the time of Pradthosam, Sivarathiri and at the begining of every tamil month poojas to Arulmigu Vishwanatha Swamy is performed with "THANGA KAVASAM SATRUTHAL" abhishekham, 108 Sangu Abhishekham on every last Monday of every month and 1008 Thiruvilaku Poojas are some important poojas in this temple, by that time large number of devotees will gather for group worship and to see beautiful poojas and alangarams performed to Lord Siva.

This temple would have been started to built in 15th century and ended in 16th century by the Pandiyan King 'Arikaysari' Parangkushan who is also been called as 'Parasara Muni'
